Social Media & Events Lead

Assabet Co-op Market is a community-owned grocery store seeking a Social Media & Events Lead to support social media marketing and monthly in-store events. This is a part-time, working-lead role focused on execution and implementation, working under the direction of the Outreach & Communications Manager.

What You’ll Do

• Social media content creation support and promotions for store initiatives and events
• Support promotion, setup, and on-site execution of monthly in-store events
• Serve as a point person during events, coordinating logistics and flow as directed
• Assist with light website updates and digital communications as assigned
• Represent the co-op in a friendly, professional manner at public-facing events

Schedule

• Approximately 15-20 hours per week, more hours may become available in the future as we grow, and based on seasonal events increases in the summer
• Mix of weekdays with flexibility required, including occasional evenings and at least one weekend day per month (more possible during the summer)

What We’re Looking For

• Experience / strong interest in social media, communications, or events
• Ability to follow direction and independently execute assigned work
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital tools
• Adobe Suite experience, Mailchimp, or website tools a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and reliability
