The Neighboring Food Co-op Association includes more than 35 food co-ops and start-up initiatives across New England and New York (Click here to view map). Together, our members co-ops are locally owned by more than 140,000 people like you, generate annual revenue of $315 million, sell more than $90 million annually from local producers, and employ over 2,000 people (2017).
In 2016, our Maine members included 2 food co-ops, locally owned by over 5,000 people, and operating 2 storefronts. Together, these co-ops employed 50 people and generate $6 million in revenue. This year, we are proud to welcome our newest member, Blue Hill Co-op in Blue Hill, ME.
