NFCA Start-Up Workshop Day 2017: Presentations & Resources

On May 6, 2017, over 30 organizers from 12 Start-Up Food Co-ops across New England & New York gathered for the Neighboring Food Co-op Association’s (NFCA) Second Northeast Start-Up Workshop Day, organized in collaboration with our partners at Food Co-op Initiative (FCI) and hosted by the Monadnock Food Co-op in Keene, NH. Special thanks to Jacqueline Hannah of FCI for helping us put together a rockin’ day of peer learning, case studies, and workshops, and for sharing her experience and expertise. Deep appreciation to Heather Wright (Wright Jones PLC) for sharing her expertise with us, and for the Start-Up co-operators who presented case studies from Assabet Village Co-op Market, Dorchester Food Co-op and Urban Greens Co-op. Thanks also to our friends at Equal Exchange for helping to nourish and energize participants, and to the awesome staff at Monadnock Food Co-op for lunch. Three cheers to the Start-Up Food Co-op organizers who are working hard to empower people to build more healthy, just and sustainable communities, together!

Below are resources from the day. Please consider these for internal use by NFCA Member Start-Ups and not for public distribution.
