Hunger Mountain Co-op Interviews Start-up Co-op in Nearby Barre, VT

One of the most exciting parts of Neighboring Food Co-op Association to witness is the 6th Co-op Principal, Co-operation among Co-ops, in action.  Our co-ops reach out and support nearby co-ops in numerous ways.

Here is just one example of Co-operation Among Co-ops: in their most recent newsletter, 40 year-old Hunger Mountain Co-op in Montpelier, VT published an interview with one of the organizers of a new start-up co-op forming in nearby Barre, VT. 

“In honor of the International Year of the Co-operative, our Co-op has been featuring a different area co-op in each issue of the Full Scoop.  We conclude our series with a focus on the newest co-op in Central Vermont: the Granite City Co-op (Granite City Grocery).”
